Rodolfo Oliveira is an Associate Professor with Habilitation in Electrical and Computer Engineering at NOVA School of Science and Technology (NOVA FCT) and a Senior Researcher at the Instituto de Telecomunicações, Lisbon. His work focuses on wireless and mobile communications, stochastic modeling, and the design and performance analysis of next-generation network architectures. He is currently the Director of the Integrated Master in Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Bachelor in Communications and Information Engineering at NOVA FCT.
He has held visiting research and teaching positions at the University of Thessaly (Greece, 2008), Carnegie Mellon University (USA, 2011 and 2023), and the Technical University of Berlin (2025). He has been actively involved in several nationally and European-funded research projects and has supervised more than 60 MSc and PhD students.
His research output includes over 200 peer-reviewed publications. He serves on the editorial boards of several journals, including the IEEE Open Journal of the Communications Society (Exemplary Editor, 2023), IEEE Communications Letters (Exemplary Editor, 2021), and Ad Hoc Networks (Elsevier).
Since 2010, he has been an active member of the IEEE Portugal Section, serving in various leadership roles including Section Chair (2022–2025). He is currently Chair of the IEEE Region 8 Ad Hoc Committee on Flagship and Portfolio Conferences.
Dr. Dinesh Singh is an Assistant Professor in the School of Computing and Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Mandi. Prior to joining IIT Mandi, he worked in the High-dimensional Statistical Modeling Team with Prof. Makoto Yamada as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the RIKEN Center for Advanced Intelligence Project (AIP), Kyoto University Office, Japan.
He completed his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Hyderabad under the supervision of Prof. C. Krishna Mohan, where his research focused on scalable and distributed methods for large-scale visual computing.
He received his M.Tech degree in Computer Engineering from NIT Surat, working with Prof. Dhiren R. Patel on machine-learning approaches for network anomaly and intrusion detection in cybersecurity and cloud security.
Dr. Lean Karlo Santos Tolentino obtained his B.S. degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering (cum laude) from the Technological University of the Philippines (TUP), Manila in 2010. He earned his M.S. degree in Electronics Engineering with specialization in Microelectronics from Mapúa University in 2015. In 2024, he completed his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (System-on-Chip Group) at National Sun Yat-Sen University, Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
From 2010 to 2013, he worked as an IC Layout Engineer in the Mask Design Division of ROHM LSI Design Philippines, Inc., Pasig City. Since 2015, he has been serving as Associate Professor at TUP Manila. He was Head (Chair) of the Department of Electronics Engineering (2017–2019) and Director of the Office of the University Extension Services (2019–2020). Since March 1, 2024, he has been serving as the Dean of the College of Engineering, TUP Manila.
He is a licensed Professional Electronics Engineer (PECE) in the Philippines and an ASEAN Engineer. He has been a member of the Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines (IECEP) since 2011 and served as Director for Membership of the IECEP Manila Chapter (2023–2025). He is currently
Dr. Kalyana C. Veluvolu is a University Distinguished Professor (Professor II) at the College of IT Engineering, Kyungpook National University, South Korea. He is also the Director of his research laboratory, where he leads an interdisciplinary research group working at the intersection of intelligence, robotics, sensing systems, and healthcare technologies. His primary research focuses on smart medical robotics, biomedical systems, and EEG-based human/brain-computer interface applications.
He has been with the College of IT Engineering, Kyungpook National University, Daegu, South Korea, since 2009. He received his B.Tech degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Nagarjuna University, Guntur, India, in 2002, and his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in 2006. From 2006 to 2009, he served as a Research Fellow at the Robotics Research Center, Nanyang Technological University. He was also a Visiting Professor at the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Nanyang Technological University (2016–2017).
He has held several international visiting positions, including at the University of Newcastle (UK), National Sun Yat-Sen University (Taiwan), and the University of Valenciennes (France). He has served as Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator on numerous research projects funded by government, industry, and universities, with a total research budget exceeding 6 million USD.
Dr. Veluvolu has received multiple awards for research excellence, including the 2020 KNU Academic (Lifetime) Award and the 2017 Excellent Research Award from the Ministry of Education, South Korea (awarded in 2018). He also received the Best Teaching Award in 2021. He has authored or co-authored more than 150 journal articles and conference papers, holds a Google Scholar H-index of 41, and has been listed among the world’s top 2% scientists for the last four years.
He currently serves as an Associate Editor for several international journals, including the Journal of the Franklin Institute, Computers and Electrical Engineering, Systems Science and Control Engineering, Electronics, and Complex Engineering Systems. He has also been an active member of technical and program committees for numerous international conferences and is a Senior Member of IEEE.
Mr. Soenil Soebedar is the Founder of SOEBIT Cybersecurity and a highly experienced Security Architect, Cryptography/PKI Specialist, and Penetration Tester based in Utrecht, Netherlands. He currently serves as a freelance Cryptography Architect and PKI/HSM Specialist for the Government of Defence (MoD – Dutch Army), Netherlands. With over 32 years of experience in the IT sector, including 12+ years in Cybersecurity, he has worked extensively as an Ethical Hacker, Senior Security Engineer, and Senior SOC Specialist.
He holds 29 internationally recognized cybersecurity certifications, including CEH, CCISO, ECSA, CHFI, CNDA, ECES, ECIH, multiple PECB credentials, and advanced certifications in penetration testing, network defense, mobile hacking, forensics, and HSM engineering. He is also a Certified Instructor with EC-Council (CEI), Rocheston Certified Trainer (RCT), and PECB Certified Trainer (2025).
His professional experience spans major institutions including the Dutch Ministry of Defence, Dutch Central Bank, ABN-AMRO Bank, Ministry of Justice and Security (Netherlands), and the European Power & Gas Exchange market (Paris HQ). He has worked across multiple sectors such as Finance, Banking, Energy, Government, Healthcare, Education, and Consulting.
